DRIVER ASSISTANCE PACK

The new Peugeot 308 has a new range of safety equipment including the "Driver Assistance Pack" which includes the active speed regulator, Collision Risk Alert and the Emergency Brake System. These functions are linked to the radar which is integrated into the lower front grille.

The active speed regulator automatically reduces the programmed speed when you are following a vehicle which is moving slower than you using the engine brake. When the speed differential between your own car and a vehicle in front is too high, Collision Risk Alert asks you to brake to reduce the distance. If a collision is certain, the Automatic Emergency Brake reduces the speed by a maximum of 20 km/h, so as to avoid the impact or limit the consequences. These functions do not exempt the driver from maintaining control of the vehicle in all circumstances, in compliance with the requirements of the highway code.

REVERSE CAMERA

The reverse camera shows and indicates, with a sound alert, what you cannot see behind the vehicle: located on the tailgate, it is automatically triggered when you shift into reverse gear and transmits the image onto the touchscreen. The coloured lines indicate how far away objects are.

BLIND SPOT CHECK AND PARK ASSIST

Thanks to four sensors located on the front and rear bumpers, this technology informs the driver, on all journeys, of the presence of another vehicle or motorbike in the blind spot. An LED lights up on the nearest wing mirror to inform the driver.

Available as an option from the Allure level, the Park Assist feature is combined with the blind spot check. This latest generation active driving aid makes marking and defensive driving easier. After a parking spot has been found, the automated steering systemi kicks into acion while allowing the driver to control the speed, brakes, gearbox and clutch. During manœuvres, the system gives the driver visual and auditory cues to ensure safe parking spot entry and exist.

PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS

The Peugeot Connect box looks after you in the event of an accident. It will call emergency services in the event that airbags or pyrotechnic belts are triggered. You can also make a manual emergency call using the SOS button located on the roof. The vehicle will then be located and the required emergency services will be immediately dispatched.

Available from the Allure versions and upwards, intelligent grip control is a sophisticated anti-skid system which allows the vehicle to start and accelerate effectively on roads with low grip (ice, snow, rain, etc.). In these conditions, it automatically adapts its strategy by allowing for more or less skid on each of the two front wheels.
